ATLANTA, Ga. – The Great South Athletic Conference announced the women's tennis Player of the Week for all matches played through March 2 - 8 and, following voting by the league sports information directors, Agnes Scott's Maddie Hoffman won the weekly honor.

GSAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week - Maddie Hoffman of Agnes Scott

Hoffman had a great week for the Scotties, aiding in their upset win over Oglethorpe University by winning at the #2 singles spot and #2 doubles spot in the Scotties' 5-4 victory. She also came within two points of winning at #2 singles against #14 Sewanee, losing 2-6,6-3,1-0(11-9) against the nationally-ranked Tiger squad. Her only losses this season have come against the #2 and #14 teams in the country.

The GSAC sports information directors nominate Player of the Week candidates and then vote on the top two nominees in each sport as selected by the conference office. Player of the Week voting occurs on Tuesdays and the weekly announcement of the winners is released each Wednesday morning.
