ATLANTA, Ga. - GSAC schools played in 10 non-conference softball games this past week while the league had one featured doubleheader that resulted in Salem and Covenant splitting a pair.
Huntingdon enjoyed the most success in non-conference play, posting a 3-1 record on the week after sweeping Millsaps and splitting with LaGrange. Finlandia went 1-1 on the week with a win over Becker and loss to Farmingdale State while Trinity Washington (to Galludet) and Covenant (to Birmingham-Southern) were each swept in doubleheader action.
In the only league doublheader, Covenant took game one from Salem by the score of 9-2 but the Spirits fought back for a 6-0 shutout win on their home field in game two.
