The Great South Athletic Conference has announced the fall sports week two Players of the Week and, following voting by the league sports information directors, student-athletes from Wesleyan College swept the awards.
GSAC Volleyball Player of the Week - Chermaine Johnson of Wesleyan
Johnson (pictured at right) led Wesleyan to a 1-1 week, helping the Pioneers earn their first win of the season over Toccoa Falls College on Saturday. In the match, the junior from Charlotte, NC, hit an impressive 0.556 with a match-high 20 kills and 0 errors. She also posted 19 digs, 4 service aces and a block assist in the match.
GSAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week - Taylor Poole of Wesleyan
Taylor Poole helped direct the Wesleyan College soccer team to a 2-0 week with both wins coming over Johnson University (TN). In a 7-0 win on Monday, the freshman from Warner Robins, GA, scored three goals on four shots, moving her season total to six goals scored in five matches. On Saturday, she followed up her hat trick with a goal assist in a 3-0 victory for the Pioneers.

There were no nominees for GSAC Cross Country Runner of the Week.
The GSAC sports information directors nominate Player of the Week candidates and then vote on the top two nominees in each sport as selected by the conference office. Player of the Week voting occurs on Tuesdays and the weekly announcement of the winners is released each Wednesday morning.
